About Us
The American Society of Agricultural Appraisers (ASAA) was founded in 1980 and is the only appraisal association in the nation exclusively for livestock and farm equipment appraisers. The ASAA is an organization made up of appraisal professionals and other parties interested in the appraisal profession. Our mission is to produce qualified and ethical appraisers who are recognized authorities in the agricultural appraisal field, provide educational and organizational support to ASAA members, and provide training and career development opportunities for people interested in joining the profession.

ASAA Goals
- Recognize qualified individuals in the agricultural appraisal profession.
- Offer educational and instructional information to members and other individuals who wish to pursue a career in agricultural appraising.
- Promote the common business interests of agricultural appraisers.
- Raise the competency and performance of individuals who are engaging in, or desire to engage in, the field of livestock and farm equipment appraisal to the highest possible level.
- Promote professional standards of competence, performance, and ethics among agricultural appraisers.
- Facilitate communication and cooperation between and among those individuals interested in the appraisal of agricultural assets.
- Be an advocate for the Association and its members by working with regulatory bodies that affect the administration and regulation of appraising.
